Losing Track…

February5

Oh dear.

It’s been an busy couple of weeks, hence the lack of posts. Sorry about that. From tomorrow I will be right back on track.

I haven’t done anything too structured this week, apart from Zumba yesterday. I will get back into it properly from tomorrow. I am about to run out the door to work, so will do measurements tomorrow (scales still broken).

See you tomorrow for a proper catch up!

Week Something or other…

January25

Sorry for the lack of updates once again. Life is busy.

I forgot to put up measurements last Sunday, so let us catch up:

Bust: 121cm
Waist: 111cm
Hips: 131cm
Upper Arm: 43cm
Thigh: 71cm

No change. Grrr.

And the scales have gone crazy – I think they have finally succumbed to the wees of the cat. Alas.

Anyway, this week is going well, sort of, so far. Yesterday I did Balance, but hurt me knee during a variation of Down Dog. It hurts quite a bit. So today I went swimming (as in actual swimming, not just an aquajog) – gosh, I had forgotten that it is quite the workout! I did 1km, which isn’t too bad for a beginner. I dug out my flippers and zipped up and down – it’s very good apprently as it is cardio AND resistance all at the same time. I think I will replace my usual Thursday aquajog with a proper swim and see if that makes any difference. I was quite puffed after a few laps, but I get puffed at the gym and keep going so I think it’s similar in “value”.

Anyway, aqua tomorrow night, and a swim on Thursday.

That’s all for now.

A Little bit of Luxury….

January20

I read about this online and tried it last night.

Just heavenly.

Chocolate Coffee Body Scrub
Mix 1/4c ground coffee, 3T cocoa powder, 1c sugar, 2T honey and mix with oil (olive or whatever) into a thick paste.

Go and stand in the shower/bath. Be warned, it’s quite messy.

Wet yourself all over. And then scrub with the mixture alllll over. Rinse – yourself and the area you’re standing in.

Your skin is left all lovely – the oil seems to leave a residue on your skin which leaves it feeling quite soft. The caffeine in the coffee helps the blood circulate out to the cellulite areas, helping break it down, and also helps to tighten your skin, so it’s a bit of a non-surgical lift. The texture of the coffee and sugar make an excelent exfoliant that’s not too harsh either.

And it smells great as well. The mix makes enough for two people – so get scrubbing together!

Week 24

January19

So I am still being very well behaved… eating very well – although I am trying to work out what made me feel so very sluggish yesterday afternoon – food diary yesterday was rice bubbles, pears and milk for breakfast, an orange for morning tea, a salad sandwich for lunch, a pear and two rice thins for afternoon tea and a burger (home made, lots of salady goodness) for dinner. Nothing too weird, but man, was I feeling it – maybe this is what they say it feels like to be bloated. Anyway, I did not like it, not one bit!

I’m going well on the exercise this week too – a walk and Balance on Monday, the gym on Tuesday and aqua last night. I am missing a swim this morning as I am quite tired and taking a recovery day, but will be back to the gym tomorrow.

Might start the caveman diet next week… will see what happens.

Ten point Four

January16

Is the number of kilograms I have lost in 23 weeks (yay!).

Without further ado, here are el mesaurementos:

Weight: 119.1kg
Bust: 121cm
Waist: 111cm
Hips: 131cm
Upper Arm: 43cm
Thigh: 71cm

I have not weighed in for a number of weeks now, but apprehensively put the batteries in today, very scared that they would tell me a bad number after the indulgence of Christmas. But no, they told me good things. And really, so they should have after this week, for here is what I have done:

Monday – Balance. Tuesday – Gym. Wednesday – nothing (well, furious cleaning). Thursday – swimming. Friday – Gym. Saturday – Balance and Zumba. Sunday – 2.5km walk.

So it has been a busy week with lots of healthy eating – lots of salads with tuna and chickpeas. Yum! Alex caught a nice lot of snapper and trevally which we ate on Friday night with Mum and Dad, and had smoked snapper today for lunch. Snapper also for dinner – I think I will crumb, with kumara chips and salad. Most excellent.

The Wedding Dress has arrived – so I now have a good goal to get into. It’s a 16-18, so I have a bit of work to do. We have our engagement tea party in a couple of Sundays, so am thinking of healthy things to do for that (ass I have come up with so far are club sandwiches. The rest isn’t so good, but hey, everything in moderation.

Good things ahead!!

Day Two!

January10

Helloooooooo.

I went to Balance last night, was great to get back into it. Off to the gym this morning – just having some muesli for breakfast. Yum!

Back on the Band Wagon

January9

I have purchased my wedding dress.

I need to get skinnier to fit into it.

Therefore, the wagon hitching starts today. I am going to Balance tonight to ease into things, then back to the gym tomorrow. I will eat well this week and hopefully see some results – and I will be getting on the dreaded scales this Sunday. Not looking forward to that, I tell you!

Week… I don’t know

January4

Hi Chaps,

Apologies (especially to Mum) for the lack of update over the past two or three weeks. I have been enjoying the Christmas holidays… while possibly indulging in a little bit too much food!

The weather has been great and we have enjoyed being out and about in the sun. Was ridiculously hot yesterday over at Heidi’s (thanks for the Christmas Lunch – delish!), so thank goodness there are a few showers scheduled for today.

Measurements:
Bust: 121cm
Waist: 111cm
Hips: 131cm
Upper Arm: 43cm
Thigh: 71cm

So I have put on 3cm (one each on the waist, hips and things). In all honesty I have not done any exercise over the holiday season so really this is to be expected.

I am going to get right back into things on Monday. I have planned my week – a walk, Balance, gym, aquarobics, swim, gym, Balance and Zumba and rest. I am looking forward to getting back into things properly. Meatless Monday will also be back, thanks to the vegetarian cook book Heidi and mark gave me for Christmas. looks totally delicious!!!

I have a good goal for getting skinny this year. My wedding (hehe!). We are planning it for sometime in November – yet to find the venue but once we do, most other things will fall into place. Today I am going out and will do some walking around town as I am constructing engagement party invites. So that sort of counts as some exercise.

Next week posting will also be back to normal. That is all – I am off to load the dishwasher and hang some washing out (hoping that this rain doesn’t amount to anything).

Week 19 – Ends

December18

Dear Followers,

It has been a very busy couple of weeks. Last week I did balance, the gym, aquarobics, a swim, the gym and then I hurt my back. This week I did 2 x swims (and then couldn’t do any more since the pools were full with water polo kids), and a whole lot of walking (especially yesterday). My back is still sore – I haven’t taken any pain stuff this morning to see how it is and it’s still quite titchy. Which is a bit annoying. Even little things like getting stuff out of the bottom of the trolley was a bit sore yesterday. Hoping to feel better this week – will do swimming each day rather than anything to intense, as I would like to be in top form for the holidays.

So, here are me measurements:
Bust: 121cm
Waist: 110cm
Hips: 130cm
Upper Arm: 43cm
Thigh: 70cm

Which is a total of 8cm gone, and a grand total of 58cm gone Unfortunately I keep forgetting to buy batteries for the scales. I’m quite happy with the results since I haven’t really been able to do anything too intense.

Now… Christmas… I’m going to have to work hard to keep it all off – but I think Mum has lots of plans for walking while we are over there. If anything I should come back skinnier!!

A Task for my Merry Followers

December14

Right. I have been doing lots of reading over the last few days (Thanks Woman’s Health and the internet). I have done learning about how if you want to keep weight off, you have to knock off the white stuff (potatoes, white rice, white bread and so on). Ze Germans have done a study on this. People who knock off (most) of the white stuff after finishing their quest to skinnyness stay skinny.

I have also learnt that Christmas Day is a legal day of eating whatever you like.

So, post Christmas, I have a task for everyone. Eat like a caveman for a week. As in, you’re allowed lean meat, fruit, veges and nuts/seeds. No milk, cheese, bread, processed foods – just caveman. We’ll be doing this on return from holiday. And I am expecting you to as well – and to post your results. It is a good detox after the gorge that is Christmas.

Yum yum yum!
